Stamped concrete combines a poured concrete surface with an impressed decorative pattern. Stone, slate and other texture directions can be considered to complement your home and landscape. We help work through pattern scale, colour and border details so the finished patio or walkway feels appropriate to the space. The layout matters as much as the finish: entrances, furniture and walking routes all influence the design.
Exposed aggregate highlights the stone within the concrete, creating a textured appearance distinct from an impressed stamped pattern. It can suit entrance areas, walkways and steps where you want a finish with visible material character. We discuss the look you are aiming for alongside the surrounding surfaces and intended use, so you can compare it with stamped concrete before selecting a direction.
A decorative concrete project includes more than choosing a pattern. Site access, excavation, base preparation, drainage, forming and the layout of joints all need consideration. The scope depends on the location and use of the surface. We discuss the construction sequence, curing and ongoing care with you. If you already have concrete you want to restore, our separate overlay service may be worth assessing.
